Illage summer camp strives to build and strengthen long lasting community connections through creative and inclusive events for adult queers in the Portland Area. We prioritize social justice, encourage silliness, and seek to create space for real-life heart bonding. In the past, Illage summer camp has been very white-centric, causing harm to our greater community. Moving forward, camp wants to be accountable for its past behavior and engage in the continuous work of dismantling white supremacy, prioritizing safety and comfort of black queers and queers of color—while also recognizing intersections of ability, class and gender.
Illage summer camp works to facilitate 5 days of magic orchestrated by-queers-for-queers in an ever evolving collaboration to create the community that serves us all.
Camp runs on donations and each day of camp will go to benefit a different local non-profit/organization that is close to our hearts and vital to our survival. We hope you will join us to create a community of inclusion, excitement, playfulness, learning, and growth.
